UK Tourist Visa Checklist (Standard Visitor Visa)
The UK Standard Visitor Visa allows Bangladeshi citizens to travel to the United Kingdom for tourism, visiting family/friends, business meetings or short medical treatment.
Maximum stay per visit: Up to 6 months
Visa Validity & Government Fee
- Visa Validity 6 Months: Visa Fee BDT 21,368 Approx.
- Visa Validity 2 Years: Visa Fee BDT 79,920 Approx.
- Visa Validity 5 Years: Visa Fee BDT 142,678 Approx.
- Visa Validity 10 Years: Visa Fee BDT 178,179 Approx.

REQUIRED DOCUMENT CHECKLIST
Passport & Identity Documents
- Original passport (valid at least 6 months)
- Old passports (if any)
- National ID card / Birth certificate
- 1 recent passport-size photograph
Visa Application Documents
- Completed online visa application form
- Visa fee payment receipt
- Appointment confirmation (VFS)
- Cover letter stating:
- Purpose of visit
- Travel dates
- Who will bear the travel expenses
Financial Documents (Mandatory)
Applicant must prove financial ability to cover the trip.
Provide:
- Personal bank statement (last 6 months)
- Bank solvency certificate
- Fixed Deposit / Savings proof (if available)
- Source of income proof
If Employed
- Employment letter / Leave approval letter
- Salary certificate
- Last 3–6 months payslips
If Business Owner
- Trade license
- Company bank statement (6 months)
- Business documents / TIN certificate
Travel Documents
- Flight booking (reservation)
- Hotel booking / Accommodation proof
- Detailed travel itinerary / Tour plan
Proof of Family & Social Ties
To prove strong ties with Bangladesh:
- Marriage certificate (if married)
- Birth certificate of children (if any)
- Family member NID copies
- Property documents (optional but recommended)
If Visiting Family/Friends (Sponsor Documents)
- Invitation letter from UK sponsor
- Sponsor passport & visa copy
- Sponsor bank statement
- Proof of relationship
Processing Time
- Standard processing: 3–6 weeks
- Priority service available (additional fee)
- Apply up to 3 months before travel
